The Joint Chiefs view the announced separation as a Coup D’état
All seven Joint Chiefs were mesmerized by the words GENERAL ANNOUNCEMENT scrolled across the glass of the two oversized TV screens. They were all unsure if it was simply a maintenance issue, yet all stayed glued until it slowly faded to a blank screen then to: “After two hundred forty years of a united concern, we are now in commitment, under a new umbrella, which is now designated as The Confederation of States.” The TV screens soon outline the bases now commandeered by the new Confederation of States exhibiting any armed intervention would prove fruitless as both strengths are very similar. The screen continued with nine boxes, three up and down and three across, occupied and framed with a general or an admiral which were all known to each other on each side of the TV screens. The Chiefs were given the opportunity to ask a few questions of each boxed-out officer and any more questions would have to be at another time and in another venue.
